Community Tai Chi Sword Course (New Session starting September 2008)


New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Mineola, Long Island, NY is pleased to announce the opening of a new Tai Chi Course, 32 Tai Chi Sword, to the public.  The course will be starting in September, once a week, for 10 sessions in total. We will only charge $60 as an administration fee for this 10-session class.

World Tai Chi Champion, Mr. Sitan Chen, will be the instructor for this Community Tai Chi Sword Course. You will have this special opportunity to learn Tai Chi Sword from a Master.

This is a great opportunity. Don’t miss it. Limited to 20 participants for this course.

Community Healthcare at NYCTCM's Teaching Clinic

New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM)'s Teaching Clinic offers Acupuncture and Chinese Healing Arts to the community while providing our advanced students with a clinical internship.

Our interns are senior-level students at the acupuncture school in New York who have passed a series of qualifying exams that allow them to diagnose and prescribe therapies for the patients who come to our clinic. Licensed Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners supervise our interns. Many of our supervisors have M.D. degrees from China, and all have considerable clinical and teaching experience.

According to the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter is a great time for promoting your body constitution and maintaining your body balance. This will promote good health with peace and vitality in the coming year, particularly if you are 55 years of age or older and have health issues such as asthma, arthritis, fatigue, migraine, etc.

Tai ChiTai Chi & other Classes Open to the Public

Some New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM) acupuncture school and Oriental Medicine school courses such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Chinese Language, and History and Philosophy of Chinese Medicine, along with special seminars and short courses at the school are open to enrollment by the general public with no special prerequisites. All other courses are open to enrollment by non-matriculated students only if they satisfy all program entry requirements as well as all prerequisites for that particular course.

NYCTCM sponsors Continuing Education Program for Practitioners

NYCTCM offers continuing education seminars periodically for licensed practitioners. CEU credits are available.
